Since March 2019, there is help for long-term unemployed people over the age of 52 who have exhausted their unemployment benefits. The support that will be increased from 2023 as agreed upon in the state’s general budgets.
So far, the aid has been set at 463.21 euros per month, but with the increase in IPREM scheduled for January 2023 it will rise to 480 euros per month, the amount being calculated on the basis of 80% of this indicator.
It is assistance that can be requested from the age of 52 until the age of retirement, when the beneficiary will be able to process his pension.

The request for assistance can be submitted at the electronic headquarters of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), at the Benefits Office (by appointment), at any public registry office or by administrative mail.
The documents that must be submitted for the request for assistance are simple: the national identity document in the case of Spanish citizens or the certificate of the citizen of European Union countries and passport, or the foreign identity card and passport; Any document that reflects the account number held by the applicant and proof of income if requested by SEPE.
