Premier League: Manchester United renew Dalot, Shaw, Rashford and Fred for another year

Automatic renewals are a classic at Manchester United. 3 + 1 could almost be considered an “unwritten rule” during Ed Woodward’s tenure.

A mechanism that benefited the “Red Devils” Renewal of four players at once: Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Fred.

Let’s go case by case. Rashford made his first-team debut in 2016. Since then, he has amassed 322 appearances, 101 goals and 60 assists for United.

Diogo Dalot arrived from Porto in 2018 at 22 kilos. She left on loan to Milan, but this season she proved to be a key player: she collected 85 matches, two goals and five assists.

Manchester United signed Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018 for 59 million euros. The 28-year-old half-Brazilian has made 173 appearances, nine goals and 13 assists for the Red Devils.

Luke Shaw joined Old Trafford from Southampton in 2014. United paid 37.5 million for his services. Since then, he has played 228 matches, scoring three goals and providing 24 assists.
