Premier League: Lisandro Martinez breathes: No Achilles injury

FIt was an injury night for Manchester United. In addition to giving up the 2-0 lead they enjoyed on the scoreboard against Sevilla, Ten Hag has lost two of its defensemen to injury: Varane and Lisandro Martinez. And the way the Argentine left the field, aided by Acqua and Montiel and later on a stretcher, was ominous.
For now, there is reassuring news out of England. As MARCA knows, it is not the Achilles tendon that is damaged by the world champion … And this is great news.
Lisandro left the field with the help of his teammates Montiel and Aqua.
We’ll have to wait. I can’t figure out what it is, but it doesn’t look like the Achilles’ area.
Ten Hag himself predicted it yesterday: “We’ve seen Lisandro Martínez go away after a moment when no opponent was involved, so it doesn’t look good… We’ll have to wait. I can’t tell what it is, but it doesn’t look like the Achilles’ area.”
Afterwards, the Manchester United boss made it clear that he would at least be down for the next game: Don’t play on Sunday. I can’t say what the diagnosis is, I’d rather wait and then we’ll be clear and we’ll know exactly what it is. I’ve spoken to him and he’s fine and he’s calm.”
