Museums Day | These are the main activities



Madrid joins the celebration of International Museum Day this Thursday with activities ranging from talk visits to baroque and jazz concerts, conferences or a demonstration of 17th-century printing.

The Museum of History organized a visit to Dialogue, in the Garden of the King, from which the interest in nature which the kings of another time, especially Felipe II and Felipe IV, took, and which they left recorded in the meticulous design of his gardens. On the occasion of World Museum Day and also to celebrate the end of the jubilee year of San Isidro on the occasion of the fourth centenary of his canonization, the Museo San Isidro, Madrid Originals will present the concert “Ludat Duet”, with Baroque. Musical Program on the Sanctification Pentagram, in 1622, by Isidro Labrador, Ignacio de Loyola, Francisco Javier, Felipe Neri and Teresa de Jesús. It will be performed by La Folía Baroque Musical Ensemble.

In addition, this space has organized, in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Madrid, the conference “Water Journey, from the East to Madrid”: a journey from the United Arab Emirates in the Iron Age to Madrid in the Middle Ages, in which the water collection systems in the East and in the Peninsula will be analyzed Iberia in different historical periods.
