The film is about a group of frustrated filmmakers who come together to plan a new film about a notorious criminal case.
It grossed about 14.7 million yuan (about 2.31 million US dollars) on Wednesday, accounting for 48.5 percent of the day’s total.
Domestic suspense film “Door Lock” was second on the box office chart, earning about 4.23 million yuan on Wednesday as reported by Xinhua.
