BJP Chief Beats Manohar Parrikar’s Son In Panaji. Why He Is not Glad


Atanasio Monserrate mentioned he isn’t pleased with the margin of his victory

Utpal Parrikar, son of former Defence Minister Overdue Manohar Parrikar, misplaced to the BJP’s Atanasio Monserrate, popularly referred to as Babush, by means of a slender margin of 716 votes.

Chatting with NDTV, Mr Monserrate mentioned he isn’t pleased with the margin of his victory and claimed that many BJP supporters didn’t vote for him.

“I’ve instructed this to BJP leaders. They will have to be careful at some point. The state BJP unit didn’t ship the suitable message to the folks. I’m involved with all BJP leaders and I’m with the BJP,” he mentioned.

“It’s not that i am glad with the end result. Many hardcore BJP citizens have voted for Utpal. That’s the reason he may get that many votes,” he instructed the NDTV.

Mr Monserrate mentioned the BJP is bound to shape the following executive in Goa. “Pramod Sawant will likely be our Leader Minister,” he mentioned.

Requested if he thinks a bit of BJP leaders campaigned towards him, he mentioned the celebration management didn’t “correctly put across” the message to the folks.

Utpal Parrikar had contested the election as an Unbiased after the BJP fielded Mr Monserrate from Panaji, providing the BJP veteran’s son a special constituency.
