Avatars come to WhatsApp | technology

Avatars, those virtual objects that come to represent a person on the networking and messaging platform, are coming to WhatsApp today. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Meta, announced this in a post on his Facebook page: “The avatar has arrived on WhatsApp! Now you can use it as a sticker in chats. Soon, there will be more styles across all of our apps.

According to Meta, each user will be able to create avatars from billions of combinations of different hairstyles, facial features, and clothing. You can use it as your profile picture or choose one of 36 attachments Portraits that reflect different feelings and actions. As the company explains, it’s a quick and fun way to share feelings. “They’re also great for preserving your privacy, because they represent you without having to include your photo,” says the official statement.

Zuckerberg’s company has recently chosen to provide users with fun and useful features. In November, WhatsApp launched two new features that give users new ways to organize and share messages. The Communities function makes it possible to manage different groups in a hierarchical manner. Thus, you can create subgroups, several chat threads, push notifications, along with the ability to make video calls between 32 participants. And soon came polls, which Meta says are “a fun and effective way to make decisions in a group without spamming everyone in the chat.” The function has been described by many users as a “salvation for discussions” and a “blessing” when making group decisions, such as the date, time, and place to meet, or to decide between different options.

For the Avatars feature, the company has made it clear that it will continue to include style updates, such as lighting, shadows, and hairstyle textures to improve it over time. It also guarantees that from today it will be available to all users.
