As a fairly well-known film, INSIDIOUS has some interesting facts. Starting from the release date that never coincided with Halloween to the film’s relatively minimal budget.

Crossover With Another Horror Movie
In an interview with CinePop CEO Bloomhouse Production revealed that there will be a possibility that the film INSIDIOUS will crossover with the story in the film SINISTER. He also revealed that at one time he thought that INSIDIOUS and SINISTER would cross the world with each other. Although do not know how, but this will be tried.
“I hope so, I want to. We almost did INSIDIOUS and SINISTER and I still feel like we might do that, so I think so. I think we’ll cross our worlds at some point. Don’t know how yet, but we’ll try.” It’s worth waiting to see if INSIDIOUS 5 will be the film that marks the beginning of this crossover.
Director Patrick Wilson’s Debut
At the time of this writing, Patrick Wilson and Ty Simpkins are the only confirmed cast members, and they will reprise their roles as the father-daughter combo, named Josh Lambert and Dalton Lambert, respectively.
Furthermore, Patrick Wilson, who plays Josh Lambert, will also direct this film. Not only concurrent roles, this film will also be Patrick Wilson’s debut as a director.
The story continues the 2nd film
INSIDIOUS producers are still keeping all the details about the franchise’s fifth film. However, they have confirmed that the film will be a direct sequel to INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2. The new film will take place ten years after the events of the second film which ended with Lambert being hypnotized into forgetting all about The Further and its demon dwellers.
Patrick Wilson as the actor and director shared some information at BlumFest 2020. Quoted from Gamespot he said that the story will center around Dalton, who was a child when viewers last saw him. “Watching Dalton go to college and what’s the point? Watching a young man go to college and all the new experiences and feeling like an outsider trying to fit in,” Wilson said.
Never Released on Halloween
Halloween is the perfect time to enjoy horror films. Taking advantage of this moment, usually horror films are released in October to coincide with this Halloween celebration, but the funny thing is that the film INSIDIOUS never releases the film to coincide with Halloween.
After more than 10 years and 5 films, INSIDIOUS always releases its films in different months, usually January and June. The closest thing to Halloween is INSIDIOUS 2 which was released in September 2013.
Small Budget, Big Income
Although it managed to achieve great success, it turns out that this INSIDIOUS film has a fairly minimal budget. The first INSIDIOUS was made on a budget of just $1.5 million, but grossed up to $97 million. Likewise with INSIDIOUS CHAPTER 2 and 3, which made profits far from the budget spent. The fourth film INSIDIOUS continues the tradition with a small budget of only $10 million.
Of the 4 films, INSIDIOUS has managed to gross more than $ 500 million. Somehow with these 5 films, maybe they will continue the tradition with a small budget.
