BOLOGNA – Gresini Racing’s Enea Bastianini is the strongest candidate to defend the factory Ducati team in MotoGP 2023. Bastianini also received advice from the head of the Gresini Racing team, Alberto Giribuola.
As is well known, Ducati is currently still looking for the right racer to replace Jack Miller next season. The reason is, the Australian racer has decided to move to Red Bull KTM in the 2023 season.
Besides Bastianini, Pramac Racing rider, Jorge Martin, is also said to be one of the choices from Ducati. However, Bastianini is said to be more likely to become a partner of Francesco Bagnaia next season.
Knowing these rumors, Giribuola also gave advice to the driver. He said Bastianini had to be ready for various differences and changes so that he could adapt well.
“When you are in a factory team, you have to try new parts and be able to handle different things,” said Alberto Giribuola, quoted by Speedweek, Wednesday (20/7/2022).
“It’s very difficult to try something in a test and then not lose the right path.”
Even so, Bastianini was asked not to feel pressured by his advice. The reason is, Giribuola insists that he has also experienced similar things to adapt to a new team.
“But that’s my job too, Enea doesn’t have to worry about that. I have to find a way not to create chaos and make the right decisions.”
